Stephen 'Waggy' Wagstaff (2/12/1989 - 12/19/2012) lived life to the fullest in every way. A graduate of Edge Hill University in England, Waggy dreamed of becoming a Physical Education teacher to combine his passions of working with kids and his love of all sports. Waggy's personality was infectious and he was everyone's favorite person from the moment you met him. Always willing to go on a new adventure, making people laugh and being a fierce friend. Waggy was an avid Blackpool FC fan, and loved the number 8 & anything/everything ORANGE.


Waggy's path took him to the United States with Challenger Sports for 3x consecutive summers to coach summer soccer camps. In 2009, Waggy was assigned to the Atlanta office and conducted camps in Georgia & the surrounding states. It was there he & Kieran met and the pair were joined at the hip from that moment forward.


In honor of Waggy's memory, each December we will celebrate his life through his biggest passion; soccer. The event has a kids 3v3 tournament followed by an adult showcase game to see which coaches/parents still have it! ALL proceeds from the event will go to the Lurie Children's Foundation.
