U7-U8 BOYS & GIRLS (5v5)


The U7–U8 program at 7 United Soccer Club introduces young players to the 5v5 field format, giving them the freedom to explore and develop their skills through creative discovery. Players are encouraged to apply what they’ve learned in a competitive yet supportive setting, gaining a full understanding of spatial awareness, timing, and field positioning while learning the fundamentals of the game.


Program Structure

  • Pre-Season Team Camp
  • Practices: 2x 75 min sessions per week (Fall/Spring) with sessions held geographically close to most players on each roster
  • Games: 8x games per season in the IWSL (girls) or YSSL (boys) travel leagues
  • Winter: 1x weekly practice with an optional indoor league
  • 2x tournaments included in fees


Development Focus: Encourages creative decision-making, applying learned skills, and understanding the basics of field positions


U9-10 BOYS & GIRLS - (7v7)


The U9–U10 program at 7 United Soccer Club introduces players to the 7v7 field format, providing a natural progression from the smaller-sided games of U7–U8. This program emphasizes skill application, tactical awareness, and teamwork while allowing players to continue developing confidence and creativity on the field. This is the age where we'll begin to teach the '7 United Way' style of play.


Program Structure

  • Pre-Season Team Camp
  • Practices: 2x 90 min sessions per week (Fall/Spring) plus optional futsal practice (Fall/Spring)
  • Games: 8x games per season in the IWSL (girls) or YSSL (boys) travel leagues
  • Winter: 1x weekly practice with an optional indoor league. Optional futsal practice
  • 2x tournaments included


Development Focus:

  • Applying learned skills in a competitive 7v7 setting
  • Building spatial awareness and understanding when, how, and where to use each skill
  • Introducing basic tactical concepts such as team shape, movement off the ball, and supporting teammates
  • Continued development of field positions and understanding responsibilities in attack and defense

U11-U12 BOYS & GIRLS (9v9)


The U11–U12 program at 7 United Soccer Club introduces players to 9v9 match play, preparing them for larger-sided games and more advanced tactical understanding. At this stage, players begin to refine technical skills under game-like conditions while developing team strategy, positional awareness, and decision-making on the field.

  • Practices: 3x per week (Fall/Spring) (2x team & 1x futsal)
  • Games: 8 games per season in the IWSL (girls) or YSSL (boys) travel leagues
  • Winter: 2x weekly practices with winter indoor league included
  • 3x tournaments included


  • Development Focus:
  • Improving ball control, passing, and shooting under pressure
  • Understanding team tactics and positional responsibilities
  • Learning to read the game and make effective decisions on and off the ball
  • Reinforcing sportsmanship, teamwork, and communication



U13-U14 BOYS & GIRLS (11v11)


The U13–U13 program marks the transition into full 11v11 match play, where players are introduced to more complex tactical systems and advanced team strategies. At this age, training focuses on technical excellence, strategic thinking, and leadership while maintaining a fun and supportive environment. This is the age where the Regional League play become available such as Midwest Conference (MWC) and National Premier League (NPL) for Elite teams.

  • Pre-Season Team Camp
  • Practices: 3x per week (Fall/Spring) (2x team & 1x futsal)
  • Games: 8 games per season (local or regional league play)
  • Winter: 2x weekly practices with winter indoor league included
  • 3x tournaments included


  • Development Focus:
  • Mastering technical skills such as first touch, passing under pressure, and finishing
  • Developing advanced tactical awareness including team shape, transitions, and positional responsibilities
  • Preparing players for high school and elite club soccer opportunities
  • Encouraging leadership and communication on and off the field
